The best that Taiwan can give to the world is “Excellence”

WHEN Taiwan Excellence was established with the combined efforts of the Taiwanese government, mainly the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Taiwan’s prime nonprofit trade promoting organization, the objective was simple: to represent the island-country’s primary principle of incorporating ingenuity, creativity, and innovation in every product that comes out of the country and sold into the world.

This is why the MOEA established the Taiwan Excellence Awards in 1983, to empower Taiwan-based companies to pursue and achieve a higher plane in product manufacturing, to create outstanding products that boast not just of high innovative value but will also proudly proclaim to the world “made in Taiwan” as something synonymous to excellence and innovation.

 

Taiwan Excellence Awards is often considered the "Oscars" of product excellence. Products undergo a rigorous selection process evaluating their innovative value across four aspects: R&D, Design, Quality, and Marketing. Winning products receive the Taiwan Excellence Award, a prestigious recognition. The government then promotes these products internationally, enhancing the global image of Taiwanese products and businesses.

 

“We believe the Taiwan-made products can make a huge contribution in making products that are not only innovative but of high value. The Mythical Six members for volleyball were Briguela, Reign Parani, Anji Salvacion, Janna Zambran, Mikha Lim, and Vivoree Escoto. Among the special award recipients were best setter BINI Mikha, best receiver Analain Salvador, best spiker Awra Briguela, and best libero Leona Andalio.

In addition, Star Magic Shooting Stars Blue were led by Donny Pangilinan and Ronnie Alonte, while the internet sensation Cong’s Anbilibabol Basketball, led by Lincoln “Cong'' Velasquez of Team Payaman, fought in a head-to-head basketball game.

Shooting Stars Blue's win over Cong's Anbilibabol Basketball with 88-76 score. Alonte, who emerged as the match MVP, fired 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Among the mythical five were Star Magic stars Ronnie Alonte, Donnie Pangilinan, and River Joseph, along with Team Payaman members Chris Lagudas and Nelson Mendoza.

Aside from the games, the crowd went wild during the half-time performance by the rising girl group BINI, with their top hit songs “Karera” and “Pantropiko.”
